The Micover™ Puffins are made of open-cell foam fitted with a permanent high-quality synthetic fur cover. Micover™ realized early on that "fur-foam" windscreens were not compatible with all microphone diameters. Micover™ created the original beveled hole to accommodate microphones with 19mm - 26mm diameters. This technology was quickly integrated in The Micover™ Puffin Series and has been replicated in competitors' designs.
